The coaches you see here are just a few of our featured teachers, we have more on our books. When you join, you’ll be matched with a coach based on your Spanish level, time zone, and availability so that your sessions fit seamlessly into your life. Our coaches specialize in the habanero accent, the way Spanish is spoken in Havana. It’s the most commonly recognized Cuban accent, fast-paced, rhythmic, and known for dropping or softening certain sounds (like the “s” at the end of words). Along the way, your coach will also introduce you to other Cuban accents so you can recognize and understand them. For example... Oriental accent (from Eastern Cuba): spoken in provinces like Santiago de Cuba and Guantánamo. It tends to be faster and more melodic than the Havana style, with an even stronger tendency to drop consonants, making it sound very fluid. Central Cuban accent (from Villa Clara, Cienfuegos, Camagüey): more neutral compared to Havana or Santiago, with clearer consonant pronunciation but still carrying the warm Cuban intonation. By exposing you to these variations, your coach ensures you don’t just sound Cuban, you also understand Cubans from across the island.
These are not Spanish classes. They’re for learners who already speak Spanish — and want to train their ear, rhythm, and pronunciation so they can sound Cuban.
